English Title: Subject Specific Learning and Interaction in Elementary School
Approaches and empirical perspectives
by Johanna Leicht / Patrick Schreyer / Georg Breidenstein / Friederike Heinzel
Subject specific learning and interaction are two key perspectives in teaching. Without refering to the dimension of the content, it is impossible to discuss the quality of teaching. Conversely, the situated and interactive implementation of subject specific learning must be taken into account for its conceptualization. Nevertheless, subject specific learning and interaction have traditionally been observed and reflected upon in a division-of-labor manner by either subject didactics or educational science classroom research. This approach is increasingly being questioned and is undergoing change.
In line with this development, this anthology brings together the perspectives of subject didactics and educational science. It empirically examines the relation between subject specific learning and interaction using quantitative and qualitative-reconstructive classroom research.
The anthology is published in the series “Studies on Classroom Interaction and Subject Specific Learning”, edited by Georg Breidenstein, Friederike Heinzel, Patrick Schreyer, and Tanya Tyagunova.
